Who doesn't love a warm, salted pretzel?
This salted pretzel ornament is mouth blown and hand painted by artisans in Poland. It stands approximately 4" tall and comes in its own gift box.
How the pretzel started
In the 6th century a young monk was baking unleavened bread for lent. He twisted pieces of bread dough to look like arms folded in prayer and called this creation "pretiola", which means "little reward". The children who recited their prayers were rewarded with a pretzel.
